Boat Show Weeks in Annapolis
The Annapolis Boat Shows take over City Dock for the next two weekends: the Powerboat Show runs October 8 through 11, and the Sailboat Show follows October 15 through 18. For two weeks, Annapolis Harbor becomes a floating marina of new boats, gear tents, and seminars — among the largest in-water shows in the country, and a short drive from Edgewater.
A few tips if you're going: downtown parking disappears early, so use the show shuttles or the water taxi from Eastport. If you're arriving by boat, expect a packed harbor with show docks filling Ego Alley — plan to anchor out or pick up a mooring and dinghy in. And if the shows have you thinking about a new boat, the next question is where it will live. The South River sits just south of Annapolis, close enough to the shows, the city, and the open Bay to make Liberty an easy answer.
