Labor Day Weekend on South River
Labor Day weekend is here, and with it the last big holiday of the boating summer. Expect full anchorages, busy channels, and plenty of company on the Bay through Monday. Get your weather check in early each morning, file a float plan, and give crab pots and other boaters extra room in the crowds.
If you're spending part of the weekend at the dock, it's a good time to take stock of the boat before fall: check dock lines and chafe gear, top off fluids, and jot down anything that needs attention before the cooler months. Enjoy the weekend — and remember, some of the Bay's best boating is still ahead in September and October.
